Mariana accompanies her father the Silversmith to the docks as a way to avoid discussing her upcoming wedding details at home. All the way there she prays in her heart that she can find a way to love her betrothed, or avoid the marriage entirely. Her father attends to the sea Master of Wanderlust. When the sea Master of Wanderlust finds out that she’s a better Silversmith than her father, he becomes the worst answer to her prayers. He kidnaps her and forces her to become the Silversmith onboard.
After only a few days of working among the crude sailors, the harassment she endures becomes too much for her to bear and then Master reveals his plan; a game. During the day no one can touch her or harass her, but every third night, one lucky sailor will win the key to her room.
When the first victor discovers her plight, he decides to help her. But to escape from Wanderlust, Mariana will need to be more than religiously bent and ridiculously lucky; she'll need allies.
What she finds, is love.
